Evaluation of
"Different Angles".
A participatory project by the Liverpool Biennial of Contemporary Art
This project enabled
a diverse cross-section of Merseyside residents to review individual works of art in the
Biennial's "International" exhibition 2004. The reviews were collected into a substantial
publication, with an introduction written by myself, and distributed in the International
exhibition venues.
I evaluated all aspects of the project including researching the experience of the
participants and readers, undertaking a cost-benefit analysis, and making recommendations for
future practice.

Leeds Libraries
Member of the Senior
Management Team with line management responsibility. Wrote the Vision Statement for Leeds Arts
Arena, which a senior colleague called "the most exciting document" she had ever read! This was
essentially an arts strategy for the Leeds City Library Service and included the development of
three exhibition spaces at the magnificent Central Library, the siting of large sculptural
pieces elsewhere in the building, and a participatory agenda for the branch libraries in Leeds.
I also contributed to the Leeds City Libraries Annual Plans in 2001 and 2002, a statutory
detailed planning document required by the DCMS. |
